Writing to people in detention:

Many people around Australia are now writing letters to people in detention centres.  The comfort and encouragement this gives is enormous.  It is one of the simplest and most effective ways you can help refugees.  Contact us and we will send you a list of names of people in various detention centres: letters@spareroomsforrefugees.com

Visiting detention centres:

Maribyrnong is in suburban Melbourne: 53 Hampstead Rd Maidstone.  Phone 03 9318 1999
Visiting hours 2 pm-4.30 pm daily and 7 pm to 9 pm daily.  You will need to show ID (licence or passport).  You will need to name the people you want to visit.  Get the names from our letters list.
